Backyard Waterfalls

Goal: Transform a simple curved backyard block wall into two merging waterfalls.

Result: Two waterfalls that blend with an already beautiful backyard and tell a story of the couple that lives there with their two dogs.

Sunset Dunes

Goal: Make the space around the stove in an RV something special and easier to clean-up.

Result: A sunset that curves around the space highlighting the couple’s favorite past-time of exploring the desert in their side-by-side.

Sea-life Backsplash

Goal: Make a backsplash for clients who purchased a new home in the San Tan area.

Result: A backsplash of a flowing ocean complete with sea-life that tells the story of the places the family has travelled. Rylee made stamps of the sea creatures so they could be duplicated easily to play throughout the waves in the piece. The colors were chosen to have it all blend right in with the existing paint and fixtures in the new house.

 Rylee’s Family Tree Clay-saic

Goal: Transform a simple backyard block wall into a wall that tells the story of Rylee’s family.

Result: A “family tree” featuring dragonflies representing her and her husband and children, fish representing their extended family, birds and flowers from every state she and her husband have lived in, and the quantity of each flower representing the number of years lived in each place.

Ocotillo Clay-saic

Goal: The new Banner Ocotillo Medical Center wanted to bring color, beauty, and art to their entryway with an image of their namesake - the ocotillo.

Result: Working with Art Studio 101 and Vickie Morrow, Rylee created “Desert Healers” as a tribute to the healing properties of the ocotillo and the symbol of the hummingbird. The scene is complete with the colorful flowers that give the ocotillo its name (it means little torch in Spanish), a hummingbird that is the real centerpiece, and soothing shades of blue for the hospital interior.

Teacher’s Lounge Backsplash Clay-saic

Goal: The teachers at Rylee’s son’s elementary school needed a pick-me-up with all the changes that went down in 2020 due to Covid restrictions. So, the PTSO decided to update the Teacher’s Lounge. Rylee offered to take on the backsplash portion as a gift to the hardworking teachers and staff.

Result: Rylee created a calm, flowing mosaic with muted colors for the space where teachers and staff can escape from the chaos to take a quick break. She added a pair of hornets, the school mascot, just for a touch of whimsy.
